Crew Family ("the App", "we") is a roster management and family-sharing app designed for airline cabin crew, operated by an individual developer. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and account identifier, used solely for authentication and account management.
• Roster data: flight schedules, duties, and preferences (home base, airline) that you import or create.
• Sharing relationships: the follow/share connections you establish with family and friends, and your notification preferences.
• Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver roster-change alerts.
• Analytics: anonymized usage statistics via Google Analytics for Firebase, used only to improve the product.
• Feedback: text and screenshots you voluntarily submit through the in-app feedback feature.

2. How We Use Data

To provide roster viewing, calendar (ICS) export, and sharing features; to send timely notifications about roster changes to you and the family members you authorize; and to maintain security and improve the service. We never sell your personal data and never use it for advertising.

3. Storage & Third-Party Services

Our backend runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Hosting, and Cloud Storage). Your data is stored on Google Cloud's secure infrastructure and encrypted in transit via HTTPS. See the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy & Security. Some display preferences (e.g., theme, color-blind-safe palette) are stored only on your device.

4. Data Sharing

Your roster data is shared only with the specific people you explicitly authorize. We do not disclose your personal data to any other third party except as required by law.

5. Retention & Deletion

Roster screenshots you upload for parsing are sent to the Google Gemini API for recognition. Under Google's paid-tier terms this data is not used to train models; Google may retain prompts and responses for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring. We do not keep the original image after parsing.

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can disable notifications or remove sharing relationships in the App at any time. You may also delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time via "Settings → Delete Account" in the App; the data is removed from our servers. Alternatively, to delete your account and all associated data, email hijetini@gmail.com; deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a professional tool for airline crew and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may request that we stop collecting, processing, or using it, by contacting us below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date.
